Tadashi Shoji’s spring collection is all about whimsy and adventure. The dresses’ simple, flowing cuts and the models’ fresh-faced hair and makeup allowed the fabrics and colors to take center stage. Inspired by travel, Shoji’s designs took their cue from California, the Gobi Desert, and the ancient capital of Xi’an. Yet despite the geographical diversity, the looks themselves worked beautifully as a cohesive whole as they floated down the runway.
