Oscar de la Renta opened his Spring 2013 show with a selection of ladylike dresses and separates in a bouquet of luxurious fabrications. There were embellished prints, laces, and lots of gorgeous handwork.
Then came a suite of prim calf-length dresses in marigold yellow, turquoise and seafoam, many with coordinating jackets. While some looks were certainly geared towards the women who have been clients for decades (the ivory passementerie set in suit par example), they were shown alongside fresh takes on the brand’s standby’s that will appeal to the daughters and granddaughters as well. -RS (Images via Vogue.com)
