Funny thing about “fashion week” outside of New York is that ostensibly, you’ve already seen the show. But I didn’t mind seeing these designers twice because the view (even from what seemed like 10 feet below the catwalk) happened to be pretty great.

Jokes aside, not surprisingly Monique Lhuillier and Zac Posen brought their A-game. And with gorgeous models and strong support from local fans and media outlets- Paper City, Culture Map and The Houston Chronicle- Houston based designers David Peck, Fotini, Chloe Dao, Gemma Kahng, Jerri Moore and others shined as well. This week at Fashion Houston it was evident (at least to me) that this southern city is not to be overlooked.
