Vogue is getting in the Halloween spirit by breaking out some straight-off-the-runway looks you could scoop up (availability and budget allowing) for a super chic costume. Okay then. Here are four, but click over to Vogue.com for all ten. My personal favorite is the Oktoberfest Pucci dirndl look. -RS

Magazines are always coming up with kooky ways to grab our attention, though this ‘Smurfs’ editorial in the August issue of Harper’s Bazaar is a bit kookier than usual. Smurfette has a full spread wearing the season’s top trends and hottest designers including Marc Jacobs, Louis Vuitton and Lanvin. You know you need to take a vacation when a cartoon has a better wardrobe than you do.

FOR THE BRAVE ONES: MARC JACOBS SPRING/ SUMMER IS 30% OFF
I seriously can’t deal with this store on a normal Saturday because it’s so crowded, but if you’re one of the brave souls who wants to elbow your way to some fab stuff, the Marc Jacobs boutique (in SoHo, not the West Village) is discounting the spring/summer collection 30% starting today. The sale includes ready-to-wear, shoes and jewelry. And if you’re looking for bags you might want to search Net-A-Porter, where several styles are 30% to 40% off.

HOLY POODLE SKIRTS MJ!

Here, a brief snapshot of what WWD called a “misstep” for Jacobs, his Fall runway collection for Louis Vuitton, and the last of the Paris shows.

Looks like the only thing good to come from this collection were the bags.. Jacobs redid the 80 year-old Speedy, which had originally been called the “Express” by re-imaging the bag in incredible treatments- flocked and sequined monograms, cloque, lace and Damier checks re-created in fox fur and hand-painted croc.. Mais Oui!

FALL 2010’s FASHION WEEK WINNER..

Marc Jacobs delivers yet another stellar collection. His shows are always packed, start late, and inevitably piss someone off (usually an editor). But in the end, he manages to pull off a little bit of magic every time.

We at DesignerSocial are particularly fond of his show because he pays such stellar attention to the accessories. Take a peek at some of the new designs for Fall.. Call us crazy but is the grey bag looking a little “Kelly”??

LAST TO FALL
The only two brands not available for purchase on their own websites- Marc Jacobs and CHANEL (even Hermes and LV have been doing it for awhile now) have finally caved.. CHANEL has recently hired a NY agency to create their e-commerce platform, and Marc Jacobs is reported to be selling on their site as early as August of this year. Both are rumored to be starting with fragrance, but accessories are said to follow shortly thereafter. Well good for you guys- you’re only about 5 years tardy to this party.

The Fabulous Bevy Smith

If you watched the premier of Kelly Cutrone’s new show, Kell on Earth, you may have briefly spotted one of our favorite fashionistas, Bevy Smith.

Whether you know Bevy personally (since she happens to know everyone), follow her on twitter, or have been to one of her amazing dinner parties, one thing that we must take note of is her amazing accessory choices.

We had the pleasure of running into Bevy at the Standard Hotel during last Market Week, where she showed us her hot Marc Jacobs signed by the designer himself!

On DesignerSocial:

Okay, so maybe we all can’t be like Bevy and own a signed Marc Jacobs bag, but just owning one is still pretty fab.  Perhaps this stunner from DesignerSocial…
