As if being creative director of Haus of Gaga, Vogue Hommes Japan and Uniqlo wasn’t enough, Nicola Formichetti is attempting to control more of the market with his own brand, set to premiere Spring 2013. Apparently the product will be “high-tech, digital and solar powered”. So no more pesky iPhone chargers, you can simply plug in to your buttonhole.

While I look forward to what may possibly be some interesting ideas from the man who gave us Gaga’s meat dress, the thought of the publicity storm we’ll all have to live through makes me want to move to a desert island before launch-time. -RS (Images, quote via WWD)

GAGA’S HELLO KITTY COUTURE
On tonight’s episode of Bravo’s Double Exposure, Lady Gaga takes Hello Kitty to a sexy new level while shooting the 35th Anniversary campaign for the character. Always the fashion extremist, this dress makes even Jeremy Scott look tame. Seriously, are you serious???

THE BRITISH ARE COMING.. ANGEL JACKSON HITS US MARKET
British design team Millie and Katie Smith have waited until the perfect moment to strike, and apparently this is it. Armed with celebs Kate Moss, Gwen Stefani, Lady Gaga, Katie Holmes, Alexa Chung and Fergie in their back pocket- it won’t be hard for them to steal the spotlight pretty darn quick, but DesignerSocial has the exclusive for now.
Ethically sourced and crafted in Bali, the bags are made from watersnake and leather with the most intricate detail, hardware and design. With vibrant colors and wild textures, the bags naturally appeal to a chic underground Brit-punk crowd (who will no doubt be so pissed when we all get our hands on them via designersocial.com). But no matter how big they get, you can be proud to say, you saw them here first. Don’t you just love the internet?

POOR GAGA: HER 20” PLATFORMS FINALLY GOT THE BEST OF HER
With what Vogue magazine calls her “strange part British, part nasal New York Italian girl accent” in this months feature about her and her new bestie- Oprah at the Costume Institute ball, she may be one of the most elusive celebrity personalities on the planet right now. But what clearly has eluded her, is the floor. And the fact that sooner or later, if you live in sky-high platforms, you will get pummeled- in this case very publicly, walking through London’s Heathrow airport today.
Sorry Gaga.. what can I say we’ve all been there.

CRAZY, WEIRD, GOOD: GAGA’S NEW VIDEO DOES NOT DISAPPOINT

Bad Romance still beats all, but if you have 8 minutes and 43 seconds to spare, get your fork out because this vid is delish. Directed by Steven Klein, Gaga is featured as a dictatorial and domineering instructor at a school for gorgeous boys. Although I must admit, visions of Madonna’s Like a Prayer and Express Yourself were swimming in my head at almost every turn.

Love her or hate her, there’s no denying Lady Gaga’s iconic status.  While everyone buzzes about her latest video Bad Romance, we’re taking a look at, what else- the fashion and accessories.

She’s rocking the Alexander McQueen Spring ‘10 collection like no other, and being that this song was on the soundtrack during the actual fashion show, we’re not surprised that his gorgeous pieces star in her video.  As we ogle the amazingness of seeing McQueen’s fashions in the Bath Haus of Gaga, thanks to Nicola Formichetti’s blog, we have can give the rest of the fashion the credit that’s due.

We’d have to say our favorite is the Franc Fernandez diamond crown outfit.  It’s like a statement necklace to the extreme, and you know how much we love our statement necklaces at DesignerSocial.

On DesignerSocial:

Make a statement like Lady Gaga (in a more wearable way of course), with these Kenneth Jay Lane pieces
