Last week we joined the Cynthia O’Connor Showroom for some summer cocktails with their designers, including Katherine Kwei, Ted Rossi, and Kooba (all carried on DesignerSocial!). We not only like going to multi-brand showrooms to seek out trends & cover specific lines, but also to pick out our favorite things across the board.
Here are a few of my picks from the COC+Co event:
I love me a good leather jacket with studs. I’m serious when I say I want that studded Candela moto jacket to be part of my wardrobe this Fall/Winter
I have a thing about collecting elephants (they’re lucky!) Those elephant key rings are so cute, and perfect to take that luck around with you wherever you go! (Botkier)
Not that I’m planning on getting married any time soon, but I would wear that pink dress to my wedding. (I’m all about not wearing the traditional white gown). (dress by Candela)
I love all dresses made by Foley + Corinna. That flapper-esque black number and that sparkly piece are right up my alley.
The lack of laces on those open toe, high heeled oxfords are a nice touch. Who needs to mess with laces? It gives the shoe a cleaner look as well. (shoes by Kooba)
Take a quick behind the scenes tour, and meet an intern who describes her day and what it takes to work there.

WOULD YOU PAY $1800 FOR THESE?
As much we love shoes, that’s a bit spendy for most of the US population. But apparently, Prada doesn’t have much faith in the American consumer either. A Fashionista spy tried them on recently in the Soho store, and when she asked to be put on the waiting list (just for the hell of it) she discovered that all three pairs- which is the ENTIRE Spring shipment- were already allotted to the Trainas (as in Samantha, Vanessa etc).. figures. I wonder if they know that they literally bought out Prada this season.
Obviously the shoes are not meant to be worn by us mere mortals, but rather meant to look great in their ad campaign and in magazines. Hope this isn’t a sign of things to come, Prada.

BEAUTY & THE BEAST.. Jimmy Choo and UGG to collaborate
WWD reports that the two lines will launch a capsule collection of five styles in October of this year.. just in time for fashionista to rock their JUGGS all over NYC’s snowbanked sidewalks..
We are an online showroom and blog featuring our favorite new handbag and accessory designers for the season, as well as a super edited vintage & pre-owned luxury goods marketplace.
